An internal tool launched at Decorist to improve designer/client matching for our online interior design platform. It replaced multiple steps and tools, streamlining the process of getting clients matched with the best designer for their needs.

This interface was designed to launch along with a new automated matching algorithm that would analyze customer needs and preferences, then use designer data from our platform to come up with a suggested designer match. Though our long-term goal was full automation of the process, this tool would allow the Ops team to review those suggested matches, and manually select appropriate designers for any projects that didn’t get a result from the algorithm. An important way for us to learn and improve as the matching system matured over time.
The design allowed those in charge of project oversight to review the suggested designer alongside the client’s profile and project needs - providing important context at a glance for completing the matching process.
